Paint Picnic (8/20) Pop-Up @ Storied
Storied Floral Still Life
In this session, we'll paint a floral still life inspired by everyday moments. You'll choose from one of three thoughtfully styled reference photos featuring flowers and Storied's beautiful home decor. Together, we'll explore color blocking, value, color temperature, and brushwork as you create your own interpretation of the scene.
You'll leave with your own finished still life painting and a better understanding of how to approach light, color, and form in future paintings.
Up to 12 people. All levels welcome.
Date & Time: 4:30 - 7:30 pm on August 20, 2026
Location: Storied at Home patio in Queen Anne (2220 Queen Anne Ave N, Seattle, WA 98109). Street parking is available, but if it's your first visit, give yourself a few extra minutes to find a spot.
Level: All levels are welcome
What's included
Everything you need is taken care of:
Acrylic paints and mediums
Brushes
Canvas paper for warm-up exercises
One stretched canvas for your final painting
Easels, palettes, and all painting supplies
Three floral reference images to choose from
Charcuterie-style snacks prepared by Storied (please include any allergies or dietary restrictions when you register so we can make sure there's something for you)
Full setup and cleanup
Just wear something you don't mind getting paint on.
Format
This three-hour class is held on Storied's beautiful patio and is designed to be equal parts relaxing, creative, and inspiring.
We'll begin with a short intention-setting exercise before diving into a lesson on color theory, value, and creating form. Then you'll work through a few warm-up exercises to practice the techniques you'll use in your final painting.
About halfway through, we'll pause for a picnic-style snack break with a beautiful spread prepared by Storied.
In the second half of class, you'll settle into your own painting while I come around to work with everyone individually. Whether you need help mixing the perfect color, figuring out your next brushstroke, or simply building confidence, I'll meet you where you are and help you bring your painting to life.
You'll head home with your finished painting, new skills, and a fresh way of seeing color and light.
Pricing: $85 per person
I want these classes to be accessible. If cost is a barrier, you're welcome to use code FRIEND15 for $15 off your registration.
